Red Bus was the idea of two Brits sitting in a bar early in 2007, one from London and one from Manchester and it quickly became a reality. It is now jointly owned by three Brits and two Cypriots and began with just one bus. We are now looking to add a further two buses for the 2009 season. We are the original open top double deck bus company offering tours around this beautiful Island. Our tours have live guides, all of which have a vast knowledge of the areas and history of Famagusta, and they will keep you well informed throughout the tour.
The Tour
Why not take 2.5 hours out of your holiday by allowing Red Bus to take you on a Fun, informational and entertaining sightseeing tour through the local Villages of the Famagusta District? Just sit back and enjoy our natural air-conditioning whistle through your hair as we meander through the Famagusta District.
The tour offers you a chance to see some of the many villages including Liopetri, Avgorou, Frenaros, Dherinia and Paralimni. You will also see Coastal Views as we make our way through Ayia Napa. Part of Cyprus is illegally occupied by the Turkish, we will take you along the border where you will see the Turkish and Cypriot outposts. You will also visit Achna Village uninhabited since 1974.
If that is not enough then we will take you to Achna Dam and finally the famous Famagusta City. Red Bus will stop half way around the journey for a bit of refreshment and taste some of the local fruits. Our tour guides are English speaking and will brief you along this historic and picturesque journey. A Camera is a must!
