How do they build a house in Cyprus?
|
Houses in Cyprus generally follow a fairly standard form and will consist of concrete around a 'steel rod' frame. This is due to the construction needing to be earthquake proof and thus provides immense strength.
Houses will be 2,3, or 4 bedrooms usually. Expect to see at least one en-suite bathroom. Pools and gardens will be optional and will be dependent on plot size.

When the main concrete construction is finished, the process of 'filling in the gaps commences. If no windows are to be fitted, then these areas are 'bricked up'. Once this has taken place then the process of plastering can be started so that the interior and exterior walls are finished as per the specification.

All the wiring, plumbing and tiling work is completed. The kitchen and bathrooms are put in and the house is decorated.
